How we’re working to keep you safe from Covid-19

At The Hotel Britomart, we want to give every guest that stays with us the peace of mind to know their health and wellbeing is our very top priority.

That’s why we are requiring all guests aged 12 years and over to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, and to show proof of vaccination on arrival at The Hotel Britomart.

We know vaccination against Covid-19 is the most effective way of minimising the spread of the virus and keeping people well. That’s why we also require The Hotel Britomart team members and all contractors who work at the hotel to be fully vaccinated. The same policy will be applied to visitors to the hotel and customers at kingi, the hotel restaurant.

All guest and visitors to the hotel will need to provide evidence of vaccination and a valid form of  photo ID at a checkpoint at the business entry on Tuawhiti Laneway, prior to entering the hotel and restaurant footprint. Request your vaccine pass via mycovidrecord.health.nz

Guests and visitors who claim they are not able to take the vaccine for medical reasons must produce a Ministry of Health endorsed medical certificate to verify this claim.

Our plan to protect guests from Covid-19 also includes our cleaning procedures. Our health and hygiene program is called Clean Touch, and was developed in conjunction with TFE Hotels.

We are working with  Diversey – a global leader in professional cleaning and hygiene solutions for more than 95 years. Clean Touch uses Diversey products which are used in line with the general cleaning and disinfection advise issued by the New Zealand Ministry of Health in response to COVID-19.

Our safety protocols related to food service, safety and cleaning have been designed in line with New Zealand Government regulation. All cleanliness and hygiene procedures are overseen by a dedicated team of health and safety practitioners. Kitchens, back offices, guest rooms and public spaces are all subject to stringent disinfecting protocols, which includes all high-touch surfaces.

We also have protocols in place to respond to New Zealand’s COVID Alert Levels, which include social distancing protocols. We encourage the use of the New Zealand Government’s COVID Tracer App, an easy way for guests to track their movements around Britomart and the rest of the city.
